Position Overview
Intel is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Silicon Design Engineering with a strong business development focus to lead our hardware engineering efforts in driving customer-centric innovation and market expansion. This executive role combines deep technical leadership in silicon design with strategic business development capabilities, requiring extensive customer engagement to identify market opportunities and drive revenue growth through Data Center product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Engineering Excellence
Influence hardware engineering organization responsible for architecture, design, and development of IP blocks and System-on-Chip (SoC) integrated circuit products
Enable engineering roadmaps and strategic alignment across Intel's product portfolio for all Intel products that incorporate SoCs and IPs
Apply broad and deep technical expertise in microprocessor design methodology and approach for building IP blocks and microprocessors
Ensure alignment between process technology, architecture, design, SoC, software, and platform teams
Business Development & Customer Engagement
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand Intel's silicon design footprint in target markets
Lead direct customer engagement initiatives to understand market requirements, identify new business opportunities, and drive design wins
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders across the global SoC ecosystem
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop customer-specific solutions and go-to-market strategies
Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships, licensing agreements, and custom silicon solutions
Strategic Market Leadership
Utilize deep industry acumen and competitive analysis to achieve and sustain competitive advantage and differentiation for Intel
Engage and influence a broad array of stakeholders, customers, and suppliers across Intel and the broader SoC ecosystem
Identify emerging market trends and customer needs to inform product roadmap and investment decisions
Represent Intel at industry conferences, customer meetings, and strategic partner engagements
Organizational Leadership
Partner effectively with a large, global engineering team s , providing direction, support, and fostering a healthy organizational culture
Ensure program execution excellence and that the organization consistently meets or exceeds commitments
Manage complex partner relationships with internal and external customers
Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated solutions that meet customer requirements
Additional Skills
Technical Expertise
Deep expertise in microprocessor architecture, SoC design, and IP development methodologies
Comprehensive understanding of semiconductor design flows, from architecture through manufacturing
Strong knowledge of industry standards, protocols, and emerging technologies in the SoC ecosystem
Experience with advanced process technologies and their impact on design and business strategies
Business & Leadership Skills
Demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth through customer engagement and business development
Proven ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships at C-level and senior technical leadership levels
Strong track record of identifying and capturing new market opportunities in the semiconductor space
Experience in managing P&L responsibility and driving business unit profitability
Excellent negotiation skills with experience in complex licensing and partnership agreements

Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to engage technical and business audiences
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with data-driven decision-making approach

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
Minimum 15 + years of progressive leadership experience in semiconductor industry with focus on silicon design and development
Minimum 10+ years of executive leadership experience managing large, global engineering organizations (500+ engineers)
Proven track record of 8+ years in business development, customer engagement, or commercial roles within the semiconductor industry
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in customer-facing roles with major OEMs, system integrators, or cloud service providers
Background in emerging technologies such as AI/ML accelerators, automotive silicon, or edge computing solutions
Experience with Intel's product portfolio and ecosystem partnerships
International business development experience, particularly in Asia-Pacific markets
Track record of successful M&A integration or joint venture management

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $999.00-$999,999.00
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
