As a Yield Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving yield enhancements across Intel's advanced process and packaging technologies. Working at the intersection of manufacturing, design, and data analytics, you will extract actionable insights from diverse data sources to identify root cause yield limiters, optimize manufacturing processes, and develop solutions that shape Intel's technology roadmaps. Your contributions will directly impact Intel's ability to deliver high-performance products to market efficiently, making you an essential part of our innovation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct statistical analysis and visualizations to identify yield limiters and construct detailed process roadmaps.
- Extract insights from structured and unstructured data using statistical methods, machine learning, and coding techniques.
- Organize and interpret fab process, defect, and process/equipment data to detect anomalies and drive process changes for yield improvement.
- Develop tools and multivariate algorithms to perform high-volume data analysis, enabling accurate yield Pareto construction.
- Execute data-driven design of experiments in collaboration with factory task forces to refine processes.
- Perform fault isolation and failure analysis to determine root causes of defects.
- Drive improvements to measurement recipes for quick feedback on product integrity, ensuring manufacturability and product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug yield limiters and drive alignment on corrective actions.
- Develop methods to transform experimental and manufacturing data into actionable insights, advancing yield milestones.
- Provide training and mentorship to technicians, supporting operational excellence.
Shift will be a modified Shift 5 working Sun-Wed
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or another STEM-related field, with 2+ years of relevant metrology experience; OR Master's degree in the above fields and 1+ years of metrology experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of applying statistical and analytical techniques to yield improvement.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as JMP, JSL, SQL/SQL Pathfinder.
- Experience with Python for data analysis and process modeling.
- Detailed knowledge of substrate, assembly, and fab back-end processes.
- Sense of ownership and collaboration with cross-functional partners to drive yield enhancement.
- Prior experience in defect reduction, yield analysis, or module engineering roles.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $99,030.00-139,810.00 USD
