- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a history of engaging and influencing engineering directors and executive-level stakeholders.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
The Platforms Infrastructure Engineering Program Management Office (PMO) is part of Technical Infrastructure (TI) under Cloud AI programs organization and partners with Google Compute Engine/Technical Infrastructure Engineering, Networking, Data Center, Supply Chain and Operations teams to deliver a broad product roadmap of AI/ML and Standard Compute systems, and solutions critical to enabling Cloud (3P) IaaS business and Google (1P) services.
In this role, you will be the lead technical program manager driving system and solution development to deliver next generation standard compute systems for Cloud, TI and AI/ML use cases.
Our Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team designs and builds the
hardware and software technologies that power all of Google's services. Our computational challenges are complex and unique, enabled by cutting-edge custom hardware designed and made in-house. As a hardware engineer, you will design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You will see those systems from concept all the way through to high-volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers, affecting millions of Google users.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Led the end-to-end strategy and execution for next-gen compute and AI/ML products, establishing OKRs and governance standards from inception to production.
- Manage multiple high-priority programs, aligning engineering, product, and supply chain teams to unblock obstacles and streamline cloud portfolio delivery.
- Leverage deep technical expertise in hardware/software development and New Product Introduction (NPI) to lead technology reviews and challenge proposals. Apply strong problem-solving skills to ensure product MVPs meet rigorous quality and performance standards.
- Act as a strategic partner to engineering directors and product leaders, providing transparent visibility into program health. Drive both tactical and strategic decision-making through clear, executive-level communication across all organizational levels.
- Advocate operational efficiency by developing detailed project documentation, process maps, and automated tracking reports. Lead and mentor project staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
