Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C codebases, and front-end including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 3 years of experience working in a structured organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Own and help set the direction for the core Waze java backend server framework, libraries, and general architecture of Waze backend systems in Google cloud, as well as and data ingestion frameworks, ensuring they align with broader organizational goals.
• Work with the Team Leads to identify tactical initiatives for the team which align with the broader organization's goals.
• Lead critical initiatives of AI and agentic infrastructure.
• Meet regularly with individual contributor (ICs) to discuss performance, provide feedback, and career coaching.
• Collaborate with SRE, EngProd, and Security teams to align frameworks with platform improvements and security best practices.
