Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field and 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
- Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires 6 years of experience in the following:- Systems architecture or System design
- Team management or People management
- Prioritization and strategic alignment
- Executive stakeholder management or Stakeholder engagement
- Organization design and development or Team structuring

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $261,250 - $300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Position reports to the Google New York, New York office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy
Responsibilities
- Set clear team priorities and individual expectations that align with organizational goals and conduct regular performance discussions to provide coaching and feedback.
- Develop and evolve the mid-term technical vision and roadmap for your teams to meet future requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Guide and approve system designs, breaking down complex problems into solvable parts and ensuring coherent, reusable, and scalable architecture.
- Manage the delivery of engineering projects across multiple teams, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and communication on progress and timelines.
- Champion engineering excellence by reviewing code, establishing best practices for testing and quality, and implementing new team standards. Write code to solve ambiguous technical challenges and oversee the triage, debugging, and resolution of complex system issues.
