Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with iOS application development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with the Swift programming language.
• Experience with data querying (e.g., SQL) and management.
• Experience building large-scale developer APIs.
• Interest in system health and optimizing performance and latency.

In this role, you will join the Photos iOS Foundations Client team and manage the central libraries for the Google Photos app.

You will influence the engineering vision for Google Photos mobile apps by navigating technical problems in data and app architecture. You will build frameworks that power user journeys. Additionally, you will manage data through prefetching, caching, computing, understanding, and processing to integrate features launched to users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
