Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with android application development.- 1 year experience with a graphical user interface.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience building large-scale Android apps with complex user interactions.
- Experience working collaboratively on complex projects.
- Experience developing Design System libraries.

In this role, you will be fostering design and engineering consistency, scalability, and velocity with a multidisciplinary team encompassing visual design, motion, and illustration systems.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $147000 - $211000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to define the future of the Design System.
- Collaborate broadly with Android and Pixel UI teams, impacting all product surfaces.
- Strive on quality and craftsmanship and analyze and take action on feedback from feature teams and partners.
- Strive for perfect visual smoothness, high responsiveness and optimal memory/CPU/battery usage.
- Write resilient code that future users of Android productivity devices can rely on.
