Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
- 1 year of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).
- Experience in the following areas: Generative AI Agent, distributed systems, data warehousing, SQL.
- Experience programming in Python.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and experience with software design and architecture.
- 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Agents) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy and architectural design of the core reasoning engine that translates natural language into reliable SQL insights, ensuring the platform scales to support complex enterprise data exploration.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML, UX, and Product teams to define the agentic future of BigQuery, bridging the gap between raw data and business-ready answers.
- Establish and maintain engineering excellence by setting the bar for performance, reliability, and observability of production-critical agent services across the BigQuery ecosystem.
- Mentor and influence a broad group of engineers, identifying and refining ambiguous, high-impact problems into tractable projects that advance our data-centric AI capabilities.
