About the Team
The User Insights team within Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) is building foundational architecture for Salesforce's "Customer Zero" mission - validating software and experimentation at enterprise scale before products reach the broader market.
This is a brand-new, highly autonomous team building a Unified Feature Flag & Experimentation Engine used across Salesforce. You'll work with modern technologies including Next.js, React, Node.js, AWS, and AI-assisted development workflows.
Role Overview
We're looking for a strong Full Stack Engineer with balanced frontend and backend experience to help build scalable, customer-facing enterprise products and experimentation platforms.
This role is ideal for a product-minded engineer who enjoys working across the stack, thrives in ambiguous environments, and partners closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using Next.js, React, Node.js, and AWS
- Develop scalable APIs, backend services, and customer-facing product experiences
- Collaborate with Product Managers, TPMs, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Own projects end-to-end from architecture through production support ("You Build It, You Run It")
- Leverage AI tools in day-to-day development workflows to improve speed and quality
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and engineering best practices
- Support experimentation, feature flagging, and analytics capabilities across the platform
Required Qualifications
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with both frontend and backend development
- Required: Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js experience
- Experience building customer-facing products and modern web applications
- Experience with AWS cloud services and scalable distributed systems
- Strong understanding of APIs, relational databases (Postgres), and data modeling
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous, or high-growth environments
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and reviewing AI-generated code
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with feature flagging, experimentation, or A/B testing platforms (GrowthBook, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, etc.)
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Terraform, or ETL/data pipelines
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Startup or product engineering experience preferred

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $117,200 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $141,200 - $285,800 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
