Description
Job DescriptionOracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Director, Software Development to build and lead a new engineering organization supporting Oracle Health cloud services. This leader will be responsible for creating and scaling a high-performing organization focused on automation, monitoring, control plane technologies, operational tooling, and cloud service efficiency. The role combines organizational leadership, technical strategy, operational excellence, and talent development to help deliver secure, scalable, and highly reliable healthcare cloud solutions.
OCI is building the next generation of cloud services that power mission-critical workloads around the globe. This role offers the opportunity to build a new organization from the ground up, shape long-term platform strategy, and directly influence how healthcare customers securely operate and scale their workloads in the cloud.

Build, scale, and lead a new engineering organization supporting Oracle Health cloud services- Drive development of monitoring platforms, automation frameworks, control planes, and operational tooling
- Define technical strategy and execution plans supporting long-term cloud service growth
- Partner closely with OCI, Oracle Health, Security, Architecture, and Product organizations
- Improve operational efficiency through automation and engineering excellence
- Develop leaders and engineering talent across multiple organizational levels
- Oversee organizational planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and headcount growth
- Drive operational readiness, reliability, scalability, and customer-focused outcomes
- Establish engineering best practices and a culture of accountability and innovation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 15+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience leading managers and large engineering organizations
- Demonstrated success building teams and organizations from the ground up
- Experience operating large-scale distributed cloud services
- Strong systems architecture and operational leadership experience
- Experience with monitoring, automation, observability, infrastructure platforms, or control plane technologies
- Proven ability to drive organizational transformation and scale engineering operations
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,200 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
