DXC's Insurance Software and BPS business provides a range of software and services to the global insurance market including life, wealth, health, commercial and speciality, property and casualty, and reinsurance. We are seeking a Business Analyst with deep knowledge and understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance coupled with specialized expertise in outwards/ceded reinsurance principles, methods, and practices relied upon in the UK, Europe, and U.S. markets to collaborate with our clients in pursuit of their operational excellence and digital transformations. This is a high-impact role where you'll work closely with client stakeholders to deliver DXC's industry-leading outwards/ceded reinsurance software platforms.
What You'll Do:
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with clients and internal DXC teams to capture and validate outwards/ceded reinsurance business requirements.
- Translate complex outwards/ceded reinsurance business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
Process Improvement & Solution Design
- Analyse client (or prospective client) outwards/ceded reinsurance workflows and identify opportunities for leveraging and/or enhancing and implementing DXC's software solutions.
- Provide consultancy services to clients regarding potential outwards/ceded reinsurance technology solutions offered by DXC as well as contributing to enhancements to DXC's outwards/ceded reinsurance software solutions that reduce can client costs, improve data quality and drive operational efficiencies.
Systems Expertise
- Work with DXC outwards/ceded reinsurance software platforms such as Global XLPro, ELGAR, or DXC SICScede and/or prior experience with non-DXC outwards/ceded reinsurance software products.
- Provide business-centric guidance and user support to maximize system capabilities.
Technical Analysis & Testing
- Use SQL Server, Excel, and/or SharePoint for data analysis, reporting, and automation.
- Assist in the development and execution of test cases; as well as interpreting and resolving failed test results.
- Support client UAT and ensure smooth implementation of changes and/or software upgrades.
Documentation & Reporting
- Create and/or enhance detailed documentation: including items such as pre-implementation discovery workshop findings, user guides, software incident/problem tickets, focused client training aids, technical specs, etc..
- Deliver regular internal and/or external reporting on client and/or software related issues as well as client consultancy project statuses (e.g. software upgrades).
What You'll Bring:
Experience & Domain Knowledge
- Proven knowledge and understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance aligned with specialized expertise in outwards/ceded reinsurance principles, methods, and practices relied upon in the UK, Europe, and U.S. markets is critical for this position.
- Familiarity with LORS, SRS, Solvency II, and/or U.S. Schedule F is highly desirable.
- Experience leading client-facing projects or teams is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SQL Server and Excel for business focused data analysis/testing is of high importance.
- Experience with Global XLPro, ELGAR, or DXC SICScede is advantageous.
- Knowledge of data migration and analytics is a bonus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $97,100 - $180,300.
Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
