• Experience working with public policy teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with technical infrastructure developments and executing cross-functional projects.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience developing and executing strategies to deliver exceptional solutions.
• Experience working in Public Affairs within Missouri or Kansas.
• Ability to identify opportunities and areas for improvement, operate independently and in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and political/communication skills.

As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. As the Public Affairs Manager, you will be on the front lines of this effort, acting as a strategic advisor who shapes our data center initiatives to align with local and state priorities. You will be a leader, identifying and maximizing partnership opportunities with local institutions to effectively tell the story of Google's commitment and long-term investment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$257,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain critical relationships with government officials, community leaders, and key opinion formers to secure a positive, sustainable, and collaborative operating environment for our facilities.
• Develop, lead, and execute complex, multi-state public affairs strategies and campaigns that proactively safeguard the data center lifecycle across both existing and future markets.
• Serve as a key ambassador and advocate for Google's priorities, amplifying our economic, energy, sustainability, and social contributions to position our presence as a local team for growth and innovation.
• Partner closely with a broad range of internal teams and external stakeholders to drive data center market development projects seamlessly from concept to completion.
• Translate corporate and technical initiatives into tangible, highly visible local benefits that align with and support community priorities.
