About the job
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
In this role you will be responsible for building and managing a team that will manage the delivery by third parties of mission critical power generation and power infrastructure assets that will power Google's mission critical data centers. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on project schedules, variances to schedule, and take any and all steps (e.g., agreement discussion and amendments) to ensure a delivery of critical infrastructure that is as on time and on budget as possible. You will manage a team of regional leads and external consultants to ensure this work is covered while also working very closely with internal partner teams ranging from engineering to supply chain to real estate to construction, finance, and legal.
The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what's possible. We empower Google customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability and velocity.
