Role Overview
Salesforce Professional Services is looking for a Technical Architect Director focused on Agentforce for Life Sciences (AFLS). AFLS is one of Salesforce's fastest-growing and most strategic product areas, now adopted by more than 140 industry-leading organizations globally.
As a Director-level architect, you will serve as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert to the company's largest, most complex life sciences enterprise customers. You will bring senior leadership presence to engagements, guiding program strategy, shaping practice growth, and mentoring architects across the team, while helping customers architect and deliver agentic, AI-first solutions across their commercial and clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the client at the executive level, engaging with C-Suite stakeholders with authority and confidence
- Lead and shape internal strategic initiatives to grow the Life Sciences consulting practice; drive community knowledge, thought leadership, and reusable delivery assets
- Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies, including Agentforce and AI-first capabilities, that drive increased business value
- Mentor and coach Senior Technical Architects and Solution Architects across the practice
- Work collaboratively with strong communication skills, especially in teaching complex concepts and creative, prescriptive thinking
- Identify and proactively manage risk areas at a program level; commit to seeing issues through to complete resolution
- Manage executive customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with customers and third-party partners
- Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward
- Work closely with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs
- Define and contribute to program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform
- Represent Salesforce Professional Services externally, including at industry events, customer briefings, and executive business reviews
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years enterprise architecture or consulting experience
- 5+ years of experience leading Salesforce Core Projects
- 3+ years of experience in the Life Sciences industry, particularly Pharma/Biopharma, with backgrounds in pharmaceutical commercial operations, field force engagement, HCP/HCO relationship management, or regulatory compliance
- Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration, and security architecture skills
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring technical teams at scale
- Strong presentation skills, able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences, including C-level executives
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience
- A great listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles
- Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration
- Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems
- Strong experience in integration concepts, designs, and patterns

Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent work experience will be considered
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), multiple Salesforce Architecture certifications, or Salesforce Certified Agentforce Life Sciences Consultant (launched March 2026)
- Hands-on experience with Agentforce for Life Sciences (AFLS) or equivalent Life Sciences CRM platforms, including knowledge of HCP/HCO structures, Affiliations, Specialty Pharmacy, Medical Affairs, and compliant engagement workflows
- Experience delivering implementations for major pharmaceutical or life sciences companies, with familiarity with the agentic enterprise model and how AI agents can transform commercial and clinical operations
- Prior experience in a Director or practice leadership role within a consulting or professional services organization
- Experience in the Medtech industry, including medical device commercialization, post-market surveillance, or field service operations
- Background in Clinical operations, including clinical trial management, patient engagement platforms, site and investigator management, or clinical data workflows
- Experience in Drug Development and the drug lifecycle, from early-phase research, regulatory submissions (IND/NDA/BLA), and pharmacovigilance through commercialization, lifecycle management, and loss of exclusivity

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $197,300 - $313,700 annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
