Our Scientific Informatics practice is where scientific innovation meets leading-edge technology. We help our clients envision and achieve Digital Laboratory Transformation through co-creation and application of digital technologies, revolutionizing scientific and laboratory processes. We leverage digital technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, analytics, and cloud, in combination with a fundamental redesign of the scientific user experience to help our clients better capture, manage, integrate, and analyze complex scientific data. We help improve the discovery and manufacturing of new products, improve quality, ensure compliance, reduce time to market and improve operational efficiency. As a team member of our Scientific Informatics practice, you will be exposed to the cutting-edge technologies and processes that many leading companies and government agencies utilize.

Role Details:
The R&D Tech Lead in Melville, NY

The is a site-based role. The individual's main responsibilities are:

• Ensure seamless operations in Research Park -Melville, across 8 laboratories and the pilot plant. This translates into being the application owner of >50 apps that are single instance and linked to R&D equipment in Melville as well as
• work with the FSEs to make sure the R&D specific local infrastructure (>200 lab workstations and several on prem servers) is operational and GxP compliant
• work with Data and Analytics to make sure the data being produced by the R&D equipment is properly captured, stored, curated, being auditable
• The role involves substantial interaction with all the R&D lab heads and on prem scientists, 5 days a week, troubleshooting on a daily basis and liaising with the numerous vendors/owners of the R&D lab apps.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of 6 years of experience across the following areas:
  • Proven experience working with product and tools vendors, including supporting implementation, enhancements, and platform upgrades.
  • Working knowledge of GxP-regulated environments, including understanding of IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), and PQ (Performance Qualification) processes across infrastructure, security, and compliance domains.
  • Familiarity with laboratory systems such as Empower and OpenLab, including their role within GxP-compliant environments.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure supporting laboratory applications, with awareness of GxP implications, risk considerations, and system criticality.
  • Ability to assess and manage GxP impact for applications, including identifying and supporting critical systems (e.g., Empower and OpenLab).
• Bachelor's degree
