The Role and Impact:
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our Central Engineering Group (CEG) as an Electrical Validation Engineering Technician. The Electrical Validation Engineering Technician will work as part of a team that performs board level electrical validation on Ethernet Network interface cards. This involves operating automated test stations, executing manual electrical tests, soldering test points, and debug. In this position you will gain invaluable experience which will allow growth and expanded opportunities within this business group as well as future possible opportunities with other business groups within Intel.
What You'll Do
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Execute electrical validation and test plans for networking and server hardware platforms.
- Set up, configure, and operate laboratory test equipment to support validation activities.
- Collect, analyze, and document test results.
- Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and system-level issues under the guidance of engineers.
- Support board bring-up, system debug, and environmental testing activities.
- Assist in maintaining validation equipment, test setups, and lab infrastructure.
- Contribute to test automation and data collection efforts using scripting tools and software utilities.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to identify and resolve product issues.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
High School diploma and 10 years of experience in a hardware technical lab environment.
10+ years of experience in the following:
- Soldering skills to apply test points to SMD components (ex 0402, 0603, 0805, etc)
- Using and maintaining lab tools and equipment, including configuration, troubleshooting, and repair
- Technical knowledge in electrical circuit troubleshooting
- Develop and interpret technical documentation such as specifications, test plans, and operational procedures
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks or tools

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $84,030.00-118,630.00 USD (Hourly Role)

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
