Description
Minimum qualifications:- JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
- Experience with political law enforcement and compliance issues, with particular focus on federal, state, and local gift rules.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of compliance experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
- In-house experience building risk-based US political law compliance programs for a significant number of users.
- Experience with campaign finance laws, including advising on contributions, corporate activity, and political committees.
- Ability to navigate ambiguities and find creative, risk-based solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage numerous simultaneous projects under time-sensitive constraints.
- A commitment to professionalism and collegiality, along with the ability to grow in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $217000 - $315000 (USD) 20% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of the political law compliance programs, with particular focus on US federal, state, and local laws pertaining to government ethics. Assist in compliance with US and global lobbying laws.
- Provide timely, practical legal advice to a broad array of stakeholders across Google, including public policy, commercial legal, and product teams.
- Design and manage user-focused and scalable compliance processes and training.
- Assist with other compliance programs as requested.
