Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field and 12 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Application Engineer-related occupation.
- Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a Application Engineer-related occupation.
- Position requires 10 years of experience in the following: Designing the SAP-specific system architecture, including SAP components (e.g., NetWeaver, S/4HANA), modules, interfaces, and data models; Writing readable and well-structured code in ABAP and other relevant programming languages; Managing the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) from concept to maintenance; Debugging program code to diagnose, triage, and fix software issues; Troubleshooting system failures across hardware and software by conducting root cause analysis.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $264,520 - $278,000 20% bonus target equity benefits determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google.
Position reports to the Google Sunnyvale, CA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy custom front-end and back-end services for external customer-facing products specifically targeting SAP customers and developers.
- Lead the development and deployment of commercial SAP solutions, requiring expertise in SAP and ABAP to build robust, scalable products that support the needs of the external user base.
- Drive the overall systems design and create integration strategies to enable enterprise business solutions for external customers, ensuring seamless connection with core SAP environments.
- Collaborate with business owners, product managers, and analysts to translate functional requirements for external SAP solutions into high-level technical specifications.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend vendor-supplied applications and new technologies, and lead their integration into external product offerings and related systems. Define and implement processes and solutions to ensure control compliance can be effectively enforced and monitored across all customer-facing products, maintaining high standards of quality and security.
