Company History
The Mat-Su Borough was incorporated in 1964 as
a second class general law borough with a manager
form of government. We are the 27th fastest growing
county in the country. The Mat-Su Borough employs
approximately 350 full-time employees and 560 oncall
emergency responders. Our dedicated on-call
emergency responders provide emergency medical,
rescue, and firefighting services in areas throughout
the Borough.
