Minimum qualifications:

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 9 years of years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls experience in an industrial/commercial environment.
• 5 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance and in Engineering.
• Experience communicating effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives.
• Ability to forecast resource requirements in a data-driven way.

In this role, you will partner with the Google Data Center developing teams, hardware operations, network infrastructure, and third-party data center vendors and operators with a focus on operability, maintainability, and reliability.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$189,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Test, validate, improve, and certify new processes and procedures for equipment operation.
• Lead compliance activities for a data center, analyze global compliance results, and ensure regional and global teams comply with project/schedule guidelines and Google design standards.
• Monitor data center systems operations, control site activities to minimize risk, and respond to any excursions.
• Ensure sites follow facility, maintenance, and standard programs while identifying opportunities to improve policies and programs.
• Develop strategies to minimize operational costs, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site, and drive site-level development of programs and initiatives.
