We are part of a fast-moving Supply Chain organization helping Fortune 500 clients reinvent how they source, procure, and manage third parties. Our work sits at the intersection of operating model design, process reinvention, AI-enabled procurement, digital platforms, and cost transformation with deep industry context at the core.
In the Energy industry (Upstream, Oilfield Services, Downstream), procurement is a critical value lever. We help clients redesign how work gets done, integrate human and AI capabilities, modernize procurement technology, and unlock sustainable cost and performance improvements while building more resilient and agile organizations.
You are:
As a manager, you will own and lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement transformation initiatives, working directly with senior leadership within Accenture Sourcing & Procurement practice and driving relationship with Energy client stakeholders (Category managers, Functional leads, VP level). Your responsibilities will span strategy, design, and execution across the following dimensions:
The Work:
Operating Model & Organization Design
- Design future-ready procurement operating models aligned to Energy industry realities,
- Define roles, governance, decision rights, and ways of working across business, procurement, and suppliers,
- Integrate AI and Agentic AI into procurement workflows to improve speed, quality, and scalability.
- Redesign core sourcing and procurement processes using a digital-first and automation-led approach,
- Identify opportunities to embed AI, analytics, and intelligent agents across business partnering, category management, sourcing, contracting, buying, and supplier management,
- Guide clients through procurement technology enablement (e.g., Work orchestration, S2P platforms, analytics).
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and cost take-out programs across Energy-specific categories.
- Drive value beyond savings, including reliability, supplier performance, and risk reduction.
- Support and lead complex supplier negotiations.
- Use data and analytics to identify bottlenecks, cost opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Define procurement KPIs and 360 value tracking mechanisms aligned with business outcomes / priorities.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage delivery for one or several workstreams.
- Act as a team lead accountable of team delivery, leading relationship with client stakeholders, translating pain points and strategies into executable solutions.
- Support change management and capability uplift to ensure sustainable adoption.
Here's what you need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
- Minimum 2 years of management consulting experience or equivalent internal consulting role.
- Minimum 1 year Energy industry experience in consulting (Upstream, OFS, and/or Downstream).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If associate degree, must have a minimum of 6 years' work experience)
- Experience working for an Energy operator, in addition to consulting
- Strong understanding of procurement operating models, sourcing, and process design or Energy specific category expertise.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage clients, and deliver complex programs
- Hands-on exposure to procurement technology implementations (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa).
- Experience with AI, advanced analytics, or automation in procurement contexts.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement certifications.
- Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- MBA or advanced degree.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
