Description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or consultative account management at a B2B software company.
• Experience working with Federal Science and Research agencies, specifically the Department of Energy, Department of Commerce, or NASA.
• Experience managing the full business-cycle (e.g., pipeline management, forecasting, reporting) and managing commercial negotiations and agreements.
• Experience engaging and building relationships with internal teams and customer stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience leading large, matrixed teams in the pursuit of complex opportunities.
  
• Understanding of the federal civilian procurement process, including budget cycles and various contract vehicles.
• Track record of shaping and winning multi-year government programs and contracts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical senior executives.

As a Strategic Pursuits Manager focused on US Federal Science and Research agencies such as: NASA, Department of Energy, and Department of Commerce, you will be a senior leader on the sales team. You will be responsible for shaping the complex, and strategic multi-year programs. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, sales, and government relations, influencing customer requirements and acquisition strategies long before a Request for Proposal (RFP) is released. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams to position Google as the premier partner for advancing the missions of our nation's Science and Research agencies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$172,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Influence US Federal Science and Research Agency requirements and acquisition strategies early to position Google for strategic program success.
  
• Cultivate trusted relationships with senior Federal Science and Research officials and Systems Integrators to deliver comprehensive, mission-critical solutions.
  
• Conduct analysis to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that effectively position Google's offerings within the Federal Science and Research sector.
  
• Drive significant business and on-contract growth within existing accounts by collaborating with sales teams to accelerate agreement closures.
  
• Lead cross-functional proposal development and provide thought leadership at industry events to showcase Google's science and research expertise.
