Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the consumer electronics, auto, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), telecom, e-commerce/retail, apps, ads, gaming, or technology industries.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading cross-functional partnership initiatives with a significant impact on business outcomes.
- Experience presenting to and influencing executives with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of the retail and e-Commerce landscape, including emerging trends and engaged dynamics.
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize partnership opportunities that align with business objectives.
- Excellent discussion and influencing skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms and building consensus.

Google's Knowledge and Information Partnerships (K&IP) organization works with a wide range of external partners to help build Google products through product-enabling relationships (e.g., data licensing, content partnerships, API/platform integrations, and technology licensing). Some areas of K&IP include: search, shopping, assistant, maps, local, play books or newsstand, research and machine intelligence, developer products, and social Impact. The Shopping Business Development (BD) team leads our services integration and content partnerships to enable capabilities, products, and offers across the Shopping ecosystem.
As a Strategic Partner Development Lead, you will open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You will be comfortable in escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to executive management. You will work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key relationships that support our online advertising business.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$204,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with executive commerce leaders and relevant cross-functional teams to identify market trends, prioritize key partner opportunities, and translate partner needs into product requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify the right executive partner stakeholders and customize narrative as necessary for each engagement. Monitor, analyze, and optimize partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth to achieve goals.
- Identify key stakeholders with Ads, Large Customer Sales (LCS), Product, Engineering, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to build networks and contribute to cross-team collaborations.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering partners to contribute to the rollout and expansion of new brand features for our retail partners.
- Partner with internal marketing teams and external retail partners to drive content acquisition and enable agentic shopping experiences across the Google ecosystem.
