Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in programming in C .
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience developing, experimenting and launching full-stack applications (backend, frontend, experimentation, data analysis).
- Experience with full-stack product development including backend, frontend, experimentation and analysis.
- Experience working with Applied Machine Learning (ML) or Generative AI (Gen AI), Gemini and internal tools like AI Flow.

Wholepage Optimization and Experiences team is responsible for adload and placement, sentiment optimization, enhancing commercial journeys and overall ads experiences on Google Search.
As Search is evolving, ads have to co-evolve in critical dimensions to keep up monetization by helping users, advertisers and Google. We do this by optimizing the entire Search results page (including organic results and ads) to create a delightful experience for our users by helping them find the content they need faster, while also enabling growth opportunities for our advertisers and partners in reaching the right audience and thereby driving their business as well as long term business for Google.Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We're made up of multiple teams, building Google's Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Be curious and drive to make 10x better ads experiences compared to what we have today in the world of AI.
- Think from a product and user-first perspective and be able to solve issues across the full stack (backend, frontend, etc).
- Leverage Gemini extensively to improve the overall experiences, in partnership with teams across Deepmind.
- Iterate on new ideas very quickly and effectively collaborate with teams across search and ads and Cross-functional (xfn) partners - Product Manager (PM), Data Scientist (DS) and User Experience (UX).
- Lead both people management and individual technical contributions as a Tech Lead, with prior people management experience being preferred but not required.
