Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, and experience in one or more of the following languages: Kotlin, Swift, Java, Objective-C, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Experience in testing and launching software products.
- Experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience in full-stack engineering and in user-facing product development, encompassing frontend (e.g., web or mobile) and backend services.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience building and shipping applications on Android, iOS, or modern web platforms.
- Experience in performance and latency optimization across frontend and backend stacks.
- Experience developing and deploying user-facing applications powered by LLMs.
- Experience using metrics and user logging to inform product decisions through A/B experiments, with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and sound judgment in foreseeing risks related to privacy, legal matters, marketing, public relations, and safety.

On this team, you will leverage state-of-the-art AI models to create high-fidelity, intuitive web interfaces across a diverse range of impactful use cases.
You'll be a true full-stack product engineer, owning features end-to-end. Our team culture is centered on moving fast to drive innovations and value to our users. You'll design, build, and deploy new user-facing vertical features (such as Nano Banana, Veo, MusicGen, Shopping, etc.) from the initial concept to millions of Gemini users. You'll write code for our frontend web clients and also server infrastructure that powers the user experience. You will also partner closely with product managers, UX designers, and AI researchers to transform cutting-edge model capabilities into intuitive, magical product features. You'll architect elegant, scalable, and performant systems. We believe in lightweight processes and fast execution, so you'll focus on what matters most: shipping high-quality and reliable valuable features to our users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management, UX, and quality engineers to transform vague ideas into clear roadmaps.
- Define project scope, manage execution, and ensure successful feature launches.
- Identify and proactively mitigate risks related to legal, privacy, timelines, TPU costs, and other potential roadblocks.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve complex challenges by engaging in detailed problem-solving as necessary.
