Description

- Experience in C , C, kernel drivers, embedded systems, firmware, and memory architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience with Advanced RISC Machines (ARM).

In this role, you will support the future of Google's computer fleet. You will build the exceptional and future-proof custom SoC to fulfill the need of Google future workloads. You will be involved in co-designing, high-performance and secure SoCs from ideation to landing. You will design and develop bootROMs, Firmware/Software (FW/SW) drivers, providing software interfaces for custom compute features and working with the ecosystem and partners to drive the adoption of the custom SoC features.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of firmware code based on the Zephyr real-time operating system (RTOS) (C/C ), design sequences, simulators and emulators for new features and optimize existing systems such as low-level hardware interaction, peripheral control, writing and maintaining device drivers for various SoC peripherals.
- Identify root causes of issues within the SoC by using debugging tools like in-circuit emulators, simulator, logging, Joint Test Action Group (JTAG) debuggers, and your problem-solving skills to isolate and fix firmware bugs.
- Partner with upper-layer software teams to design and develop end-to-end system functionality such as defining interfaces, firmware hooks, and ensuring seamless handoff between firmware and software domains.
- Partner with internal test and validation teams to design firmware to facilitate silicon validation (pre and post-silicon), aid in debugging validation failures, and optimize firmware for better testability.
