You are:
A Sourcing and Procurement professional with chemicals experience who helps clients develop strategies and operating models to advance procurement capabilities and drive bottom-line financial impact. You use your data skills to develop and implement strategies that improve the value and performance delivered by clients' supply base, while establishing strategic procurement category plans and processes to sustain long-term value. You've also got communication skills to make sure that everyone understands your ideas and how to get them to work as quickly as possible. Your experience means that people look to you for guidance and ideas. And you know how to make sure teams get their work done on time, every time.

Whether identifying opportunities to reduce clients' chemicals costs and environmental impacts or proposing innovative solutions that curb the effect of soaring prices and longer lead times, Accenture's Sourcing & Procurement team delivers tangible business results for our clients - while also enhancing the employee experience, customer satisfaction, and community impact.
Consultants provide the foundation for all these client-facing activities. With direction from the firm's experienced leadership, you will play a critical role in building and providing analyses and recommendations that will be the basis for key client decision making relative to their sourcing and procurement strategies. You will be accountable for:
- Solving challenging problems and applying creativity and innovation
- Creating robust sourcing strategies and recommendations
- Driving category insights, analysis and benchmarking
- Synthesizing disparate data sources into insights and clear deliverables
- Working with clients to identify and interpret key project requirements
- Nurturing relationships with client stakeholders
- Facilitating development of project plans and overall project management to ensure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverables
- Developing presentations and key deliverables to support decision making
- Communicating findings and recommendations to internal teams and client stakeholders
- Achieving excellence and dependability through the execution of projects and initiatives
- Support Accenture's Chemicals Center of Excellence by creating deliverable content (POV slides, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) to capture chemicals category knowledge and ultimately support internal knowledge share and business development
Travel is required for this role and could vary from 10-50%
Qualification
Here's what you need:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience executing Strategic Sourcing projects/programs, including exposure to chemicals negotiations

Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) products, including the ability to develop and interpret complex analytical models and ad-hoc reports - Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If associate degree, must have a minimum of 6 years' work experience)
- Management consulting experience with a well-regarded firm (strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated abilities in problem solving and independent decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to effectively take on multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-starter mindset and bias towards proactively taking initiative to learn, grow, and advance projects
- You have deep chemicals category and procurement expertise in one or more of the following types of chemicals such as Chlor-Alkali (e.g., Caustic Soda), Petrochemicals, Specialty Chemicals (e.g., excipients)
- You are comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment and a capacity for innovation and process improvement
- You have prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
- You have earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
Here's what you need:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Operations.
- Minimum 1 year Energy industry experience (Upstream, OFS, and/or Downstream), gained through consulting or relevant industry roles.
- Exposure to consulting or project-based delivery environments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If associate degree, must have a minimum of 6 years' work experience)
- Experience supporting procurement transformations or cost reduction initiatives.
- Exposure to procurement technology solutions (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa).
- Experience with data analytics, automation, or AI-enabled use cases in procurement.
- Foundational understanding of sourcing, procurement processes, and supply chain concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (Verbal and written)
- Prior experience working with or for an Energy operator.
- Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement training.
- Advanced degree or progress toward an MBA.
