• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  
• Experience with programming in Go.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in Google Distributed Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters on the Google Distributed Cloud connected (GDCc) platform, including creation, updates, upgrades, and deletion.
• Develop and enhance automation for cluster provisioning.
  
• Manage and improve the edge container API, the primary control plane interface for GDC connected clusters.
• Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and other engineering teams to ensure reliable and efficient version launches and customer-facing rollouts, focusing on reducing toil and improving supportability.
