• 2 years of experience with coding in C , or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with Linux.
• 1 year of experience with networking protocols.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  
• 2 years of experience with user space networking.
• 2 years of experience with software-defined networking.
• 2 years of experience with performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of networking features implemented in the User Space Protocol Stack (USPS) and network system daemons.
• Provide the host networking data-path as part of the solution for many cross-functional team projects.
• Engage with client teams, design host networking features to solve their problems, and have outsized impact.
• Prioritize reliability, efficiency, and performance; they are very important to our team.
• Work on projects that have a broad impact on Google.
