Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience architecting and delivering enterprise software solutions that integrate distributed computing, storage, and file systems with advanced Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) networking and Anthos frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable APIs, leading high-stakes customer engagements, and driving results across organizational boundaries.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the Technical Lead and Uber Tech Lead (UTL) for a team of engineers delivering file and block storage capabilities for Google Distributed Cloud (GDC).
- Drive the overall technical charter for the file and block storage teams located in Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and Cambridge (CAM).
- Analyze customer deployments and use cases to ensure the architecture roadmap aligns with their requirements.
- Lead roadmap conversations with Product Management (PM) and prioritize the technical charter for the organization.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a sound development process and that projects have well-defined outcomes.
