Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 7 years of experience in building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with AI algorithms and machine learning infrastructure.
• Experience with machine learning optimization.
• Experience in file systems, operating systems, performance engineering, and the rapidly evolving AI/ML landscape.

In this role, you will drive the strategy and execution to position Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Storage as the industry's premier solution for planet-scale AI/ML workloads. You will lead the development and tuning of high-credibility benchmarks for GCP Storage systems and develop enhanced AI/ML client libraries. Additionally, you will provide technical direction in areas such as file systems, operating systems, and performance engineering.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$369,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance AI/ML client libraries for storage.
• Lead the team to design, develop, and tune benchmarks for GCP Storage systems, positioning GCP Storage as the premier solution for AI/ML workloads.
• Assist key customers in onboarding their AI/ML workloads onto GCP storage.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across GCP including Core GCS, File Solutions, GKE, Cloud ML Compute Services (CMCS), and Networking to drive storage innovation for AI/ML.
