Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience with software development in C .
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining configuration management solutions for system deployments and updates.
• Experience managing software release cycles for products or platforms.
• Experience performing functional testing on software systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience developing embedded systems/firmware design, implementation, and deployment.
• Experience developing distributed systems that leverage messaging patterns (e.g., RequestResponse, PubSub) and brokers (e.g., Kafka, ZeroMQ).
• Experience with server-level protocols and technologies, including Redfish, I2C, PLDM, NVMe-MI, or MCTP.

Build the next-generation data center monitoring stack for Google that enables quick hardware integration. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Contribute to horizontal improvements in server telemetry and management stacks, including system daemons, client libraries, and Borg services.
• Build vertical features within the telemetry and management stack to support specific New Product Introductions (NPIs).
• Modernize legacy systems with innovative approaches to enhance fleet stability and NPI velocity.
• Maintain and support large-scale fleet systems to ensure continuous operational stability.
• Develop and integrate automated test infrastructure and suites (unit and integration) optimized for performance across varied hardware configurations.
