• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in the Java or Kotlin programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with Android application development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  
• 3 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

The Infrastructure and Integrations team builds and maintains many of the core systems that power Google Photos clients. We aim to continuously modernize our app architecture and frameworks, ensure high performance and data integrity, and create best practices that help developers use our systems with minimal friction.

Our team manages infrastructure and APIs powering experiences across Google Photos and third-party gallery apps, along with the Android Photopicker. We work across many teams within Android and Google Photos, and we regularly partner with multiple OEMs to improve cloud media access throughout the ecosystem.

Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Drive projects end-to-end that improve our systems and frameworks.
  
• Collaborate with our cross-platform Domain TLs to move our roadmap forward.
  
• Evolve and maintain the infrastructure and APIs for Google Photos.
  
• Work closely with multiple OEMs to ensure compatibility and functionality of media integrations.
  
• Work with teams across Google Photos to drive adoption of framework changes and collaborate across various engineering teams within the broader Android and Google Photos organizations.
