Description
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience across big four public accounting as well as industry experience in an operational accounting role.
- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional, changing environment and to drive operational initiatives.
- Excellent investigative skills, combined with business judgment.

This team is consisting of experienced, creative, driven and savvy high-performers and the team manages the accounting for Google's Devices and Services Product Area.
As a member of this team, you will know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end-to-end. You will be a team player at heart, you will collaborate cross-finance and cross-functionally to manage best practices for your areas. You are one of the core team members responsible for partnering with various key stakeholders (Supply Chain and Ops, Product, Sales, Marketing, RAF, Legal) to establish critical financial infrastructure and processes for P&D's Opex and Reporting processes. You will be a key contributor in a high-energy, high-growth environment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $106,000-$151,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Maintain accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of accounting processes, including agreement review, estimates and reserves, accounting policies and memos, month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations, etc.
- Execute all month-end close activities, leveraging a deep understanding of business drivers to own and develop complex flux and Forecast versus Actual (FvA) analysis.
- Partner across finance and the business to support new or ongoing business initiatives, improve process efficiencies/scalability for continued Operational Excellence (OpEx).
- Drive operational excellence by identifying/solving process gaps. Own COS allocation process, as well as review and provide flux commentaries for allocated Profit and Loss. Design/maintain effective internal control environments, and make regular recommendations on optimizing workflows.
- Facilitate analytic review, internal/external year-end audits and provide insights to drive effective decisions and compliance; support system launches and migrations, system design and testing.
