Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with pen testing and red teaming functions, including network, web application, mobile, cloud, social engineering, scripting, or tool development.
• Experience with tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certifications in offensive security including OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT, INF, or related SANS courses.
• Experience implementing or assessing information security controls.
• Knowledge of tools used in engagement testing, security event analysis, incident response, computer forensics, network and endpoint architecture or other areas of security operations.
• Understanding of operating systems internals, including Windows, Linux, and OSX.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details in a concise manner.

About the job
The Mandiant Team delivers bespoke high value assessments; this includes adversarial emulation engagements and application security testing. This may involve delivering a Threat Intel-led Red Team for a large enterprise, preparing command and control infrastructure, developing social engineering, attempting to compromise internet-facing systems, conducting privilege escalation and lateral movement within customer networks, exfiltrating data from the network all while avoiding detection from the customer security operations teams, assessing high value web application against modern threats, or advising the client on best practices regarding cyber defense mechanisms.

As a Mandiant Red Team Consulting team member, you will be responsible for assessing and advising clients on both technical and process-based controls for all manner of environments. You will perform Red and Purple Team assessments, including adversarial emulation of cyber attacks against customer organizations, and other technical cyber assessments including external pen testing, web application, mobile, and wireless security testing. You will expand the team's capabilities through tool creation, research on offensive techniques, incorporation of threat actor intelligence, internal presentations, and knowledge sharing.

In this role, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. You will have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$161,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Perform red and purple team assessments, assumed breach assessments (e.g., red team engagements with a pre-deployed implant), ransomware readiness reviews (e.g., assessing susceptibility to modern ransomware threats), threat analysis, and social engineering assessments.
  
• Conduct external and internal wireless assessments, web and mobile application testing, and embedded systems assessments.
• Recognize and safely utilize attacker tools, tactics, and procedures.
  
• Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
• Communicate findings and strategy to client stakeholders including technical staff, executive leadership, and legal counsel.
