The Role
We are seeking a Principal Consultant to join our team to deliver ongoing advisory support for CMOs, marketing and GTM leaders, support the delivery of strategic consulting engagements and develop senior relationships, making strategic recommendations on how to best achieve their growth goals.
Our principal consultants partner with our clients to provide ongoing executive guidance from strategy to execution leveraging Momentum ITSMA proprietary research, best-practices, frameworks and tools. The role demands a growth mindset and strategic thinking with authority and expertise.
You're able to see the big picture and understand complex B2B marketing subjects and help guide clients to sharpen marketing's focus to become truly client-centric. Providing the highest standard of advisory engagements to support our clients, including facilitating workshops, leading assessments, delivering guidance calls and presenting best-practices, custom recommendations and research. You will lead key relationships with clients ensuring high satisfaction and enabling expansion with clients.
You're highly engaging and confident, at your best when advising clients, and advising on strategic transformation projects with senior stakeholders across multiple clients. You have significant commercial acumen, and high emotional intelligence. You communicate frequently with your internal stakeholders to keep them informed of the customer's vision and progress; keeping the team motivated and aligned. You are also play a critical role in developing our internal capabilities, by coaching our teams and supporting internal processes and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Advisory and consulting delivery
- Consult with clients to apply our research and best-practice models in the context of their business environment and help solve their problems through inquiry and advisory.
- Draw on your deep understanding of how CMOs and other marketing and go-to-market leaders can develop strategies that enable them to deliver success for their firm and customers.
- Deliver ongoing advisory consulting engagements for clients in technology and professional services
- Coach and mentor client leadership teams and marketing practitioners either 1:1 or in a group setting
- Refine, "productise" and innovate a regular stream of frameworks for our clients, engaging directly with clients to deliver ongoing guidance and consulting engagements.
Client relationships
- Serving as the primary advisory point of contact for allocated clients, delivering value across all key interactions and proactively throughout the ongoing advisory engagement.
- Elevate client interactions by leading engagements with clarity and impact. This will ensure that clients' voices are heard and their needs addressed, solidifying their confidence and satisfaction with the consultancy's services
- Ensure a fantastic client experience by demonstrating excellent leadership skills, cultivating trusted client partnerships through the quality of your thinking, proactive and responsive delivery of consulting work.
- Own the responsibility of gathering, synthesizing, maintaining and communicating internally a rich set of insights around a portfolio of clients, their business environments, challenges, and growth contexts, to inform future consulting and advisory delivery.
- Work closely with client teams to support account expansion and proposal development.
Strategic influence & market presence
- Act as the internal SME on key topics
- Collaborate with the principal consultants team and other internal SMEs to develop IP in the form of best practices, models and frameworks that addresses gaps in our portfolio, align with client needs and frame important ideas for CMOs and other key GTM and marketing leaders
- Partner with our internal Marketing Team and client teams to promote our thought leadership and drive awareness for our capabilities through blogs, infographics, webinars, or podcasts.
- Present at our events, client events and industry-related events and roundtables
- Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker
- Support our teams in client development discussions
- Ensure success of delivery from diagnostic through the value realization
- Support internal enablement efforts
- 60-70% time with clients and onsite with our teams

Qualification
Here's what you need:
- 15+ years of experience in a B2B marketing consultancy or Senior Marketing Leadership role
- Bachelor's degree
Bonus points if you:
- Master's degree, or MBA
- Demonstrable experience in own critical thinking and strategy development including organization design and change management
- Subject matter expertise and peer to senior stakeholders such as Chief Marketing Officer
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
