Description
Job DescriptionYou've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You want to make an impact, not just manage projects, but change how the world gets built. At Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects, you'll do exactly that. You'll help develop and deliver the factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure that keep communities moving - and do it smarter, safer, and more sustainably than ever before.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold - project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists who blend real-world experience with digital innovation and AI. Together, we're transforming how capital projects are planned, managed, and executed, creating a better way to build for the future.
Because "good enough" builds the past. You're here to build what's next, on a team that outperforms every norm.

• You'll document and update schedule tenets and assumptions, including scheduling methodology used (e.g., CPM, PERT) and schedule details, ensuring consistency with department standards and project or program requirements.
• You'll ensure schedules contain accurate scope with sufficient levels of detail as projects and/or programs progress through development phases and are resource- and cost-loaded to support budget, forecast, and expenditure/resource plans.
• You'll collaborate with subject matter experts, disciplines, and stakeholders to define activities, durations, and logical relationships within project schedules.
• You'll be responsible for overall schedule tracking, monitoring, and reporting to ensure major and/or multi-year projects and/or programs are completed on schedule.
• You'll gather, update, and analyze schedule data to measure and report progress, including earned value and schedule performance index, explain schedule variance against approved baselines, perform look-ahead planning, and forecast project completion.
• You'll perform complex and detailed scheduling research and analysis, including what-if scenarios and schedule impact analysis, to support sound decision-making.
• You'll prepare and present results, alternatives, and recommendations to manage project schedules, support business decisions, and mitigate potential project or program risks.
• You'll support change control and contract negotiation and claim management, including performance implementation, analysis, and reporting using SCE or industry metrics such as earned value management.
• You'll collaborate with stakeholders and apply estimating, cost management, and scheduling knowledge, techniques, and tools to determine and communicate scheduling results.
• You'll prepare project controls data request responses and supporting work papers for corporate and OU governance activities, internal and external audits, General Rate Cases, and regulatory filings.
• You'll assess customer needs and determine recommended approaches to resolve matters of significance by applying prescribed procedures or determining which procedures are appropriate.
• You'll provide training and mentorship to develop future project controls professionals and ensure standards and requirements are met.
• You'll work as an individual contributor under direct supervision of a senior or lead project scheduler or manager, collaborating in a matrixed environment and temporarily leading assignments or functional teams when required.
• You'll execute all Project Controls activities defined in the Essential Job Functions, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, manage varying service-level requirements, meet performance goals effectively and safely, demonstrate SCE's values and guiding behaviors, and carry no direct supervisory responsibilities. - Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.
