Job Description:
Operations Hardware Product Quality critical issue management. Uses internal resources for problem resolution of day-to-day issues (whether they arise internally or at Contract Manufacturer sites) and drives corrective action when necessary. Cultivates continuous improvement mind-set. Effectively uses data and analytics to improve both product and process quality in a meaningful way.
You will work 2 days per week at our Sunnyvale, CA office location.
- Leads Hardware Product Quality Escalation for Operations team.
- Independently leads root cause and corrective action activities.
- Responsible for driving Root Cause Corrective Actions related to Field Returns ensuring goals of the company are met.
- Leads cross-functional meeting to monitor Field Quality and Reliability and drive action accordingly.
- Engages with Quality Metrics, including monitoring, identifying trends, and driving improvements. This may also include developing new measures and metrics.
- Represents Product Quality Engineering in projects of significant scope that require multi-functional participation and buy-off and have global impact and may affect policy changes company-wide.
- Supports commodity teams as required.
- Collaborates with Technical Operations, Component and Sustaining Engineering groups to resolve failure modes attributed to supplier or internal quality, manufacturing or design related deficiencies.
- Supports Purge/MCO/ECO, Deviation, and Mfg Hold activities as processes ensuring they are complete and accurate prior to submitting and/or approving.
- Participates in Product Quality Engineer (PQE) critical initiatives to ensure consistency and standardization within the organization.
Job details
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Five or more years work related experience.
- Familiarity and understanding of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) process including surface mount assembly and general electronic soldering operations. Knowledge of system box build and configuration processes.
- General knowledge of IPC specs (e.g., IPC-A-610) and industry circuit board standards.
- Must be flexible with working hours (after hours support as must work with global time zones).
- Familiarity with Electronics Manufacturing and Quality Systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products required. Knowledge of Agile is a plus.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturing.
- Ability to influence, empower and lead multi-functional teams.

- Solid project management skills.
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills.

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $81,500.00 - $187,500.00
