You Are
We are seeking a deeply technical and strategic leader to spearhead our engagement with the world's most innovative Software and Platform companies. This executive role is focused on establishing Google Cloud as the premier foundation for ISVs, SaaS providers, gaming developers, and digital-native businesses to build, scale, and innovate their own products.
The Work
You will be responsible for driving the adoption of Google Cloud's most advanced Data, AI, and agentic technologies to help these technology companies accelerate their development cycles, create intelligent user experiences, and redefine their markets. The ideal candidate is a former CTO, VP of Engineering, or Chief Architect who is passionate about empowering developers and building next-generation platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Industry Leadership: You will define and execute the comprehensive go-to-market strategy for Google Cloud within the independent software vendor (ISV) and digital-native platform segment. This involves acting as the senior technical voice for this unique customer base, translating the needs of software developers and platform architects into actionable strategies for Google's own product and engineering teams. Your ultimate goal is to ensure Google Cloud is the most innovative and developer-friendly platform for building and scaling software businesses.
- Technology and Architectural Transformation: In this role, you will act as a trusted, peer-level advisor to the technical leadership (CTOs, VPEs, Chief Architects) at our most strategic software and platform customers. You will guide them on architecting highly scalable, resilient, and intelligent applications on Google Cloud. This includes providing expert guidance on cloud-native design patterns, microservices, DevOps, data mesh architectures, and leveraging Google's global infrastructure to achieve elite performance and efficiency for their own products.
- Data, AI, and Agentic Innovation: You will be at the vanguard of helping tech companies embed Google's AI capabilities directly into their own products and development processes. This involves championing the use of AI to radically accelerate the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from AI-assisted coding to automated testing and deployment. You will also drive the integration of generative AI and agentic frameworks into our customers' platforms, enabling them to create novel, intelligent user experiences, build powerful data analytics features, and unlock new monetization models.
- Developer Ecosystem and Advocacy: Your success hinges on winning the hearts and minds of developers. You will lead Google Cloud's strategy for engaging with the software and platform developer community, including fostering relationships with open-source projects, venture capital firms, and startup accelerators. You will be a credible and authentic advocate for developers, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and support needed to build successfully on Google Cloud.
- Thought Leadership and Market Influence: As a prominent technical voice for Google Cloud, you will establish and maintain a high-profile presence within the software engineering and platform development community. This includes speaking at top-tier developer and architectural conferences, publishing technical articles and white papers, and engaging with key influencers and media. You will showcase what's possible on Google Cloud, influencing the industry by demonstrating cutting-edge use cases and setting the standard for modern platform engineering.
