About the Role
As a Financial Crime Principal Director in our Risk & Compliance team, you will be at the forefront of helping clients navigate the complex landscape of financial crime prevention, detection, and compliance. You will design and implement strategies that mitigate risks associated with anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and other financial crimes. Your work will empower organizations to not only meet regulatory requirements but also enhance operational efficiency and customer trust through innovative technology and data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of financial crime risk mitigation strategies for top-tier financial services institutions, focusing on AML, sanctions, and KYC.
- Oversee the execution of large-scale transformation programs, ensuring stakeholder alignment and successful implementation of regulatory frameworks and anti-financial crime technologies.
- Manage cross-functional teams to deliver complex financial crime prevention projects on time and within budget.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through financial crime-related challenges and regulatory changes.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by crafting innovative proposals and building strong client relationships.
- Stay at the forefront of regulatory changes and emerging trends in financial crime to ensure that clients are compliant and ready for future risks.
- Champion Accenture's financial crime capabilities, including AI-powered detection tools, data analytics, and automation platforms that enhance compliance and reduce costs.
Travel:
As needed based client and project needs.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial crime prevention, risk management, and regulatory compliance within banking, capital markets, or insurance industries, with expertise in regulations such as AML, FATF, OFAC, and other global frameworks.
- A minimum of 5 years of management consulting experience within risk and regulatory management, serving financial services clients.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of financial crime risk operating models, regulatory requirements, and compliance best practices.
- Experience with designing and re-engineering financial crime prevention processes, particularly in large organizations.
- Strong skills in client engagement, business development, and practice leadership.
- Proven project management expertise, with the ability to oversee large, complex engagements.
- Familiarity with front- and back-office operations and technology solutions in financial services and other FinTech / Payments industries
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
