Job DescriptionRole Overview
The Social Account Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day orchestration of social initiatives across strategy, content, influencer programming, and nimble production. This role acts as the connective tissue between clients, internal cross-functional teams, creators, and production partners to ensure social-first ideas are executed with clarity, speed, and excellence. You will drive account leadership, oversee strategic development, enable agile social production, and ensure all work ladders back to broader campaign and business goals.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, understands the realities of social platforms and creators, and has a proven track record of delivering culturally relevant, high-performing social work.
Key Responsibilities: Account Leadership & Client Management
Serve as the point of contact for clients on social workstreams, helping guide priorities, identify opportunities, and manage expectations.- Translate client business goals into actionable social strategies, content plans, and measurable KPIs.
- Lead day-to-day communication with client partners while coordinating with internal strategy, creative, production, influencer, and media teams.
- Build strong client relationships based on trust, proactivity, and clarity.
Act as a strategic partner who ensures all social programs are grounded in audience-led insights, cultural intelligence, and platform-native behaviors.- Stay deeply informed on the latest social trends, platform updates, creative best practices, and emerging formats to guide strategic recommendations with authority.
- Translate audience insights, social listening learnings, community trends, and competitive intelligence into clear content opportunities and strategic direction.
- Collaborate closely with strategy leads to shape social frameworks, content architectures, channel roles, and creative approaches that ladder into the brand's overarching platform.
- Ensure every output-whether hero content, always-on, influencer, or reactive-reflects current best practices and maintains relevance across priority audiences and platforms.
Oversee development and execution of social-first assets, ensuring content is platform-native, fast-moving, and culturally relevant.- Partner with creative and production teams to scope, plan, and deliver social shoots, UGC-style work, creator content, and reactive opportunities.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, budgets, and cross-functional workflows to ensure seamless production across channels.
- Guide real-time decision making and rapid iteration of content.
Collaborate with influencer strategists and managers on discovery, vetting, briefing, contracting, and content oversight.- Ensure creator work aligns with brand goals, creative excellence, and platform norms.
- Support relationship management, deliverable tracking, and cross-platform integration (e.g., collabs, usage, amplification).
Steward internal processes, ensuring clear communication, strong documentation, and consistent workflows across markets and makers.- Help improve ways of working between strategy, creative, influencer, production, and analytics teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in social-first marketing, brand social management, or integrated agency roles, including:
- Deep understanding of social platforms, cultural trends, and content behaviors.
- Experience with influencer programs, creator relationships, and platform-native content.
- Experience guiding production teams on social-first shoots and nimble content creation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
- Proven track record managing high-volume workstreams across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions in fast-moving environments.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience with social listening, channel management, reporting, or measurement tools is a plus (Sprinklr, Sprout, Tagger, Meltwater, etc.).
