This position combines strategic judgment, executive presence, and hands-on pursuit leadership to help shape the agency's future client portfolio.
Partnering closely with agency leadership across strategy, creative, finance, and operations, the Director leads new business pursuits end-to-end-from early qualification through pitch, negotiation, and close-while ensuring Droga5 consistently shows up with clarity, ambition, and commercial rigor. In parallel, the Director plays a key role in setting standards for how the agency approaches new business, mentoring junior talent, and contributing to Droga5's market positioning and long-term growth strategy.
Essential Functions:

- Own and drive end-to-end new business pursuits, from early prospect conversations through pitch leadership, negotiation, and deal close.
- Lead senior-level client and prospect engagements, helping frame business challenges and positioning Droga5 as the optimal strategic, creative partner.
- Set the strategic and creative ambition for pitches in partnership with Strategy, Creative, and Account leadership.
- Provide oversight of RFI/RFP responses to ensure they are differentiated, insight-led, and commercially sound.
- Partner closely with Finance and Operations to shape staffing models, scopes, and commercial structures that support sustainable growth.
- Manage and mentor Business Development team members, setting clear expectations and supporting their development.
- Establish and uphold best-in-class standards for new business processes, materials, storytelling, and internal collaboration.
- Influence senior internal stakeholders across departments and across the broader Song and Accenture teams, aligning leadership teams around pursuit strategy, commercials, and decision-making.
- Partner with Song Marketing GTM team members to identify and pursue joint opportunities, tangibly demonstrating the power of our collective capabilities.
- Help define and evolve the agency's credentials, case study narrative, and external point of view.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the client landscape, competitive environment, and broader marketing, media, and technology ecosystem.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years' experience in business development at an advertising agency is required. Experience should include:
- Proven track record of leading and winning complex, high-profile pitches.

- Strong commercial acumen, including experience shaping scopes, fees, and long-term client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Executive-level presence with the ability to build trust and influence senior client and internal stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate strategy, value, and creative ambition.
- Strategic thinker with strong judgment and the ability to balance ambition with pragmatism.
- Confident leader who can inspire teams, manage ambiguity, and make decisions under pressure.
