Job Description
Intel's Global IT organization is seeking a director-level individual contributor to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives focused on organizational efficiency, cost optimization, and execution excellence. This role will serve as a central leader driving complex, cross-functional programs that improve cost structure, optimize workforce and vendor spend, and enhance operational performance across the IT organization. The ideal candidate combines deep program leadership expertise with strong business and financial acumen, and a proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes in large, matrixed environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Transformation Execution
- Lead large-scale transformation initiatives across Global IT, which may include:
- Organizational design and workforce optimization
- Contractor and vendor footprint reduction
- Software maintenance and license optimization
- IT run-cost and operational efficiency improvements
- Translate strategic objectives into structured execution plans with clear milestones, ownership, measurable outcomes, and integrated schedules that account for dependencies across teams
- Continuously monitor delivery progress and future work; proactively adjust plans and timelines to address changes in scope, resource constraints, and unforeseen challenges
- Drive requirements scoping and planning, including feasibility analysis and impact assessment, to ensure initiatives are grounded in clear outcomes, constraints, and success criteria
Program Leadership & Governance
- Serve as the single-threaded leader for high-priority transformation programs
- Partner with teams across IT and the business to source, allocate, and coordinate resources (employees, contractors, and vendors) to meet program commitments
- Work effectively with technical teams to surface constraints and remove delivery roadblocks; drive decisions that balance architecture, security, reliability, schedule, and cost
- Establish and drive program governance, including:
- Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
- Milestones, dependencies, and risk management
- Executive-level reporting and reviews (MBRs/QBRs)
- Ensure transparency, predictability, and disciplined execution across initiatives
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve cross-program dependencies; manage risks and issues through clear escalation paths and mitigation plans
- Conduct program closeout assessments and document recommendations, lessons learned, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Value Realization & Financial Management
- Develop and manage business cases and value realization plans, including:
- Cost reduction targets
- ROI and payback analysis
- P&L impact and financial tracking
- Partner with Finance to ensure savings are realized, validated, and sustained over time
- Define and track benefits (financial and operational), ensuring outcomes are measured, communicated, and sustained over time
Executive Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with the CIO, IT leadership team, Finance, and HR
- Drive alignment across peer organizations in a highly matrixed environment
- Lead data-driven discussions to resolve trade-offs, address risks, and maintain momentum
- Influence leaders and partners to achieve shared objectives by bringing data, options, and clear recommendations
- Change Management & Adoption
- Drive adoption of new operating models, processes, and behaviors
- Partner with HR and Communications to support enterprise-wide change initiatives
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Coach and mentor project/program managers and team members on execution rigor, governance practices, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise transformation, program/project leadership, or strategy & operations roles
- 5+ years of experience leading large, cross-functional programs in a global organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, interdependencies, risks, and executive communications across multiple workstreams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within large-scale IT or technology organizations
- Proven track record delivering large-scale programs with measurable business impact (e.g., efficiency improvements, service quality, reliability, risk reduction, or cost optimization)
- Strong financial acumen, including experience building business cases and managing ROI-driven initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior stakeholders (VP/SVP level) without direct authority
- Experience applying multiple delivery methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) and establishing disciplined program governance in complex environments
- Experience implementing modern program management practices, including data-driven governance and execution tracking

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $198,050.00-279,600.00 USD
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Work Model for this Role
