We are looking for a proactive, tech-savvy attorney currently within Salesforce to join the M&A Integration Legal team. This role sits at the intersection of product innovation, global privacy, and corporate development and will be responsible for the legal connective tissue that brings acquired technologies into the Salesforce ecosystem.
As the Product and Privacy subject matter expert for Integration Legal, your primary objective is to ensure that acquired products are integrated into the Salesforce uMSA framework and Trust & Compliance standards without compromising our values or speed to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sign Diligence: Participate in legal and product focused pre-sign diligence activities, working cross-functionally to build an integration plan / timeline based on those findings.
- Strategic Product Counseling: Partner with acquired product and engineering leads to conduct deep-dive legal reviews of new features, ensuring they are enterprise-ready and comply with Salesforce's privacy principles.
- uMSA Cutover & Trust Documentation: Partner cross-functionally to complete cutover to Salesforce's uMSA, drafting product-specific Trust & Compliance documentation.
- NPI & Org62 Integration: Participate as needed in the New Product Introduction (NPI) work stream to ensure acquired SKUs are papered correctly before they go live in Org62.
- Privacy Assessments: Dig deeper into diligence findings to assess and bridge any gaps between the acquired company's privacy model and Salesforce's global standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Cross-Functional Advocacy: Serve as the legal bridge to Security, Product, and Engineering to address product vulnerabilities or substrate-specific blockers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Salesforce Native Knowledge: Must have a working understanding of Salesforce's internal legal processes and commercial frameworks (uMSA, DPA, Trust & Compliance Documentation).
- Product & Privacy Expertise: 5+ years of experience in product counseling or privacy law, with a proven ability to translate complex technical architectures into clear legal terms.
- M&A Mindset: Ability to manage high-pressure deal timelines with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Interpersonal Impact: Excellent relationship-building skills; ability to work as a team with functional stakeholders, including Product, Security, Sales, and Corporate Development.
- Credentials: J.D. and active Bar membership. CIPP/US or CIPP/E is highly preferred.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $164,000 - $260,100 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
