Job Description:
Candidate will take lead technical role contributing to the architecture, implementation, automation, and deployment of a new cutting-edge cloud hosted security product with zero downtime goal to accomplish highly available SAAS service (99.999%)
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the architecture and implementation of SAAS-based microservices, implement CI/CD pipelines, management infrastructure, tools, cloud-based monitoring, alerting and reporting
- Build infrastructure as code using Terraform for Kubernetes
- Work closely with quality assurance and software engineers to evaluate/recommend tools, technologies that will accelerate the development, testing and deployment of key solutions in the cloud
- Focus on automation, scalability, network security and high availability of all applications and processes
- Work closely with product owners, software engineers, and quality assurance to understand requirements, turning those requirements into operational action
- Propose, design and develop software applications, tools, libraries as needed in support of devops needs.
- Track incidents, report out on, and participate in active on call activities to help resolve service issues in a timely manner, as necessary
- Troubleshoot complex production issues at all levels of the stack by performing deep problem analysis to identify root cause and appropriate resolution
- Work to reduce manual processes through automation and development of standardized practices for managing systems and services
- Ensuring cloud-based architectures meet availability and recoverability requirements
- Review implementation of security controls and evaluate effectiveness, make recommendations for improvements

Requirements

- 5+ years' experience as a Software, DevOps Engineer; BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, etc.) and RESTFUL web services
- In depth knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and system admin practices
- Proficiency with config management tools like Ansible and CFEngine
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, TCL, Perl)
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Elastic Search
- Experience with building, maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker and modern deployment methodologies
- Proficiency in building, managing, deploying AWS solutions (EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Terraform and Argo Workflow/CD
- Experience working with geographically diverse teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Ambassador, NGINX, ArgoCD
- Knowledge of JUNOS automation and VSRX configuration and deployments
- Experience with networking protocols (VPNs, Proxies, Gateways, etc.)
