Senior Product Development Engineer - Product and Test Engineering (Chief Engineer) Job Description
This position is for an experienced Senior Product Development Engineer - Product and Test Engineering (Chief Engineer) in the fast-growing Custom and Structural ASIC Manufacturing Engineering (CSAME) team. CSAME is part of the Custom Logic Engineering Group in the Datacenter and AI Group and is playing a pivotal role in the acceleration of the 5G network transformation and intelligent edge.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead/collaborate/work with cross functional teams (departments include but not limited to: QRE, Design, DFX, Factories, etc.)
  • Be responsible for ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp.
  • Make significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits.
  • Conduct evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods.
  • Develop and debug complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment.
  • Create and test validation and production test hardware solutions.
  • Test, validate, modify and redesign circuits to guarantee component margin to specification.
  • Analyze and evaluate component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability.
  • Analyze early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities.
  • Create and applies concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints.
  • Autonomously plan and schedule own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of total experience, experience should include:
  • Product Physics (circuit/transistors)
  • IC design and/or testing
  • Data analysis

Preferred Qualifications
12+ years of total experience and/or experience in one or more of the following:
  • Technical program management
  • DFT architecture
  • ATE testing methodologies
  • Manufacturing development
  • Product Qualification (package qual and reliability run)
  • SCAN or MBIST testing methodologies
  • ATPG tool
  • Unix or Linux
  • Programming or scripting in Python, Perl or C
