Description


In this role, you will provide documentation, education, developer support, and developer productivity programs for Googlers who build libraries, tools, and infrastructure for secure, production-ready, global-scale applications.
You will work on cross-team efforts to generate content for Core Developer's server ecosystem. You will help plan, create, manage, and deliver educational content as an integral part of the server developer experience at Google.
Core Developer's Server Pillar is a suite of intelligent tools for coding, building, and testing Google-class services across server platforms. Its primary technologies include platforms, frameworks, and tools for building and running production ready services.
Core Developer's suite of products represent a key part of Google's continuing efforts to consolidate infrastructure across the entire company. In this role, you will have an exciting opportunity for high visibility impact in a quickly growing space. You will grow your writing and leadership skills, and contribute to ongoing cross-functional efforts.


Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience creating content for a technical audience (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science course materials, and/or IT admin playbooks).
  • Experience with technologies, such as software or hardware systems by investigation, experimentation (e.g., reading/running code), and/or interactions with Subject Matter Experts.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Familiarity with server-side development technologies.
  • Ability to write simple to complex code examples in Java, C , Python and/or JavaScript.
  • Ability to manage multiple, engaging priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

    - Learn complex technical information and write technical documentation, includingarchitectural overview, programming guides, and tutorials for Google engineers. - Produce educational materials for developers. - Develop consistent content strategy, workflow, and prioritization across a complex domain space. - Manage community-driven documents and drive active contributions. - Edit documents written by others and mentor engineers to improve their writing skills.
